Longer Distance Couriers

For farther distances within your own city, shipping costs can still be a major concern for any business, no matter how large or small. But the eternal question is do you use the services of whatever company chimes in at the lowest price, or do you use a company with a proven record, with guaranteed delivery, and with higher prices? DHL is a popular choice; they offer discounts to companies with an account, which is a definite draw for businesses. They also offer shipping by zones, which can certainly offer incentives for those needing nearby shipping. They offer step by step instructions on how to ship internationally and you can file your international paperwork online (a definite plus for streamlining the process). UPS is an excellent choice, especially for their common locations and fast, reliable customer service. FedEx, of course, is an international standard for getting things to their destination on time, on point, and on cost. DHL definitely has one of the strongest international reputations, but they don’t seem to be as effective within the US. They offer few full service locations, mostly drop boxes; otherwise they require a pickup from the client. So who do you go with? Well, that’s up to you!
