Everyone wins with affordable web hosting

Did you know that some of the most affordable web hosting solutions are provided by and backed with confidence by some of the largest Internet Service Providers on the Internet? It’s true.

With literally tens of thousands of businesses providing web site hosting service, it can become a challenge for the lay person to know which one to contract with. In fact, it can be difficult for professional IT managers to know whether or not a company is solid, with full capitalization behind it, or nothing more than a fly by night set up that is just waiting to take your money and run.

One sure fire method for getting your money’s worth is to start checking out companies that offer the best rated web hosting services. If you are starting at the top of list and working down, you’ll be better suited to finding the quality company your business can depend upon.

And remember that all affordable web hosting services are not necessarily at the bottom of the reliability spectrum. There are plenty of quality providers that will bend over backwards in order to provide you and your company with the customer service you need. These small providers often realize they can afford to spend more time with you because in the long run you are going to stay around and end up purchasing more from them. Everyone is happy; everyone wins!

Is Hair Replacement Worthwhile?

If you are considering hair replacement, chances are you have a lot on your mind.   There is a lot to consider before getting hair replacement.

For example, a major concern for many people is hair restoration cost.  It can be intimidating to pay a lot of money for something before you know how it’s going to turn out.  Of course, the best way to resolve this concern is to talk to a few hair replacement surgeons, and see if you can find one that you like and trust to get the job done right.

Another concern is how natural it will look.  This is also resolved by talking to a surgeon or doing some thorough research online.  Technology has come a lot further in recent years, and you might say that transplanting hair is even something of an art.  Certainly it looks more natural than a toupee and more stylish than a comb-over, though of course it costs more than either of those options.

You may also want to take into account why you feel you need hair replacement surgery.  If you are married and don’t have any need to maintain a young look, maybe it doesn’t matter if your hairline is receding.  But if you are single, if your job depends a lot on your looks, or if you’ve lost some of your hair quite young, you might consider hair replacement.

Temporary Self Storage for Businesses

storageA lot of business owners fail to look into the option of using self service storage because they don’t think that they need this service. The truth is that you can clear up a lot of space at the office by using self storage units. You don’t have to store items in these lockers permanently to get use out of them either. You may find that you just need to store some items there temporarily.

For example, many businesses will use self service storage units when there are big changes going on at the site of the business. If you’re doing business remodeling or extensive construction on site then you don’t want to risk damaging everything that you have stored there. A temporary self-storage unit is a great solution to that problem.

Other businesses will rent out a self storage unit throughout the entire year but they’ll only store certain items in it part of the time. For example, you may have items that are only appropriate to a specific season such as Christmastime or summer promotion time. These items can be stored in the locker the rest of the year so that they’re not taking up space in the office. Since there are storage units of all sizes, you can get just the amount of storage space that you need to free up your business space.

I’ll Buy Things for the Name

nameAnyone who is involved in the product naming part of a business should know about consumers like me. I hate to admit it but I can completely get sucked into making a purchase based solely on the name of the product. If the name is attention-getting, funny or pleasant to say then there’s a good chance that I’ll at least consider purchasing the item.

I’ve actually gotten a lot of high-quality items this way. For awhile I was really interested in getting new dishes and cutlery for my home. Based solely on the names of the manufacturers, I ended up with some really good sets from Juliska and Bernardaud. I got them because I loved the way those names rolled off of my tongue.

Of course, I like it when the product ends up being a good one like those were. I won’t make a second purchase of an item that I bought because of the name but didn’t like once I bought it. So manufacturers need to know that their products must also be of high quality. It just helps with initial sales if those high-quality products also have names that are attractive. It’s worth putting some effort into the naming process.

Cat trees for the fancy kitties

My Mother must really be slipping into senility as she gets a little older. I say that with all due respect, but the way she treats her pets makes me thankful she’s not the heiress to some multinational fortune. If that were the case, I’ve no doubt the bulk of her estate would go to the cats!

Recently she asked me to take her to the local pet store for she wanted to get new cat trees and scratching posts for her brood of feline fortune hunters.

Ever the dutiful son, I don’t want to squander what little I might inherit, so I cheerfully take her down to see all sorts of cat climbing trees, cat scratching posts, and even a few outdoor cat trees. I actually had to chuckle about the fact they could even get someone to buy outdoor cat trees. Don’t they already have those naturally occurring in nature?

Of course Mother would hear nothing about it, and you guessed it, I was packing one into the truck to take home for her. All in all we ended up with 2 new scratching posts for cats, the outrageous outdoor cat tree and the normal stocking up of canned and dry foods.

We all have random items in our homes that we don’t use but don’t want to get rid of. The best thing that we can do with these items is to find a way to display them. The problem is that these items often don’t go with our existing decor.

Here are some tips for adding odd objects to your home decor:

Don’t just keep your items sitting in storage. If you’re not going to get rid of them, find a way to get them out and on display.

Have portable, screener will save day!

The buzz is still flowing around my home town because of the awesome job we did recently. We were working along the very edge of town. We literally were like the next property over from the final development at the towns border. We had been doing some portable screening for a fellow contractor in town and all were humming along quite nicely.

After a long holiday weekend where no one was on site for about 4.5 days, we were shocked to discover the entire job site had been taped off by the police and investigators were still busy pushing around tons and tons of rubble.

As the site supervisor I made sure none of our portable screener equipment had been damaged and was assured that all was in good order. I was later requested to come to a meeting with the lead investigators. You can imagine that I was not a very happy go lucky fellow at that point!

As it turns out, I was safe, this time. The reason I was called in had to do with the police needing my company to continue to screen the materials that had been dug up along with very specific dig sites they would point us toward. Apparently, this lot had been the scene of some very bad crimes in years gone by and some evidence had turned up as a result of our portable crushing& screening plants.

Hound Dogs are not for the Office

Are you thinking about getting a dog for your office? There are a lot of great dogs for businesses but I’d suggest avoiding certain types of dogs. One type of dog to avoid getting for an office is the hound dog.

Hound dogs are dogs that are really intended to be hunting dogs. They are meant to be outside. They are designed to pursue prey and they want to spend time running around. Many of them get skittish if they’re indoors for too long.

For example, the Italian GreyHound is a dog that would get upset in an office. These dogs tend to get really anxious if there is any type of negative activity happening around them (such as yelling). Offices are busy places where voices do get raised so this could upset the Italian GreyHound.

Not all hounds do poorly in offices. Larger hound dogs and hounds that are bred with another breed might be fine. And of course the individual dog’s temperament may differ from the norm for its breed. Nevertheless, I’d choose a different type of dog than a hound dog if I was going to look for an office dog. Something large but friendly is usually a good choice.

Healthy Options at Restaurants

I believe that the single most important thing that a restaurant can offer right now is a healthy menu. Even restaurants that offer a lot of rich foods can choose to compliment them with healthy options. This is important since so many of us want to stay on track with healthy eating, weight loss and being green or organic in our lives.

I firmly believe that it’s possible to be healthy with every part of a meal. Entrees and appetizers are easiest to get healthy with. However there are healthy options for beverages and desserts as well. Just look at the popularity of the diet cookie if you need an example! Restaurants that make the effort to include at least one healthy choice in each part of the menu will probably be more successful than restaurants that don’t offer this.

This isn’t just about pleasing your customers as a restaurant owner either. It’s about helping out your community. The more healthy options people have, the more likely they are to get interested in and educated about healthy eating. A healthy community is a better community for all of us! Restaurants that opt to be healthy do their part to support that.
