Looking for Freedom

I’ve looked everywhere for a site that offers free file transfer. I’ve needed a way to quickly store my files so that I can retrieve them later. I’m starting to find that my work files don’t fit in a simple email, so I’ve been out to look for alternatives. Ever since we’ve gotten this new customer, we’ve had to send picture drafts of building designs, and some 3d CAD models. There was no real way of sending these types of files over email. So, we started looking around.

It wasn’t until we found FTP hosting that we decided we needed to look into similar options. When your files are well over the size of a CD or DVD, it is hard to begin imagining even transferring the file over the Internet. Luckily, the service that we found offers the best OC-48 backbone in the Southwest. The Internet has been through many rough times, but one thing is very clear: if an industry standard is here now in the Unix world, and has been for the last 5 years, then it will be around pretty much for the life of the user. That is the way of the Internet; if it can survive the first couple of years then it will be around for much, much longer.
